Privacy is a valid concern when sharing your real‑time location. The app provides a “Pause location” feature that temporarily stops sharing your position. During this time, your circle sees a pause icon instead of your current location. You can resume sharing at any time with a single tap. This gives you flexibility when you need a break from being visible.

Additionally, you can control which circles see your location if you belong to multiple groups. Each circle has its own visibility toggle. You might share your location with family but not with friends. The settings are independent for each group. Changes do not affect other circles.

Another important option is the “Emergency” feature, which allows you to send an alert with your exact location. This works even if you have paused sharing. You can also set a trusted contact who can request your location in case of an emergency. These safety tools complement the privacy controls. Review your settings periodically to ensure they match your current needs.
